The Abbaye aux Dames park was inspired by André Le Nôtre and inaugurated in September 1992. The park is dedicated to Michel d'Ornano, the President of the Lower Normandy Regional Council from 1983 to 1986. With its wide lawns and avenues of lime trees, this French-style park offers over 5 hectares of gardens for a stroll, as well as an unspoilt view over Caen from the Lebanon cedar that was planted in 1849.
