The monumental building is among the most innovative examples of French Neoclassi-cism (18th century). It was built by Claude Nicolas Ledoux and is owned by the Calvados departmental council. It currently houses the Institut Européen des Jardins et Paysages. A wide range of conferences on the theme of parks and gardens are given here all along the year.
