Festival Ribambelle | Spectacle : teNir

To hold the thread, to hold a thread, to hold upright, to hold between, to hold in the middle, to hold whatever happens, but to hold? teNir is a dialogue between a hollowed-out cube, a dancer and threads. The thread goes from one point to another, forms a knot, an angle, joins another and another, and a canvas takes shape inside the cube. The canvas occupies the cube, filling it, cluttering it up to reveal a free space inside. The body will find a place to curl up, an imprint of itself, a place to teNir, to teNir in, a cocoon to inhabit, a place of its own, to inhabit the world.

teNir is an artistic, choreographic and visual gesture conceived by Laurance Henry, for and with Pauline Maluski, with whom she has collaborated for many years. In this creation, she once again calls upon space, volume and scenography. In a circular set-up, as close as possible to the performer, we witness the birth of a cocoon of thread, an alcove of white thread where she will finally be able to teNir.
