Established in 1960 on the butte Sainte-Thérèse, a working-class district on Caen?s right bank, Cinéma LUX has become a key cultural structure in the Caen area. In addition to programming films in its three cinemas, it promotes the 7th Art in a variety of ways, while remaining committed to the values of popular education.
