SLOCUM AND ME Preview

Between his dreams of adventure and a tender view of his parents, young François makes the transition from childhood to adulthood. In the early 1950s, on the banks of the Marne river, François, a young boy of 11, is interested to discover that his parents are building a boat in the family garden, a replica of the famous sailboat built by sailor Joshua Slocum. Over the years, in post-war France, young François sails from adolescence to adulthood. As he builds the boat, while taking a tender, poetic look at his mother and father, the young boy embarks on his own adventure, one that will lead him along the path of his passions: the sea and drawing.
