Arttu Silvast is a Finnish composer and multi-instrumentalist. A self-proclaimed classical indie composer, Arttu Silvast specializes in combining electro ambiences with neo-classical music. A former music journalist and editor for the Finnish Broadcasting Company in Helsinki, he also spent many years living in Southeast Asia, which had a permanent effect on his musical awareness. Since his return to Europe, Arttu Silvast has composed music for documentaries, TV series and commercials as a freelance musician. He cites Brian Eno, Vangelis, Ólafur Arnalds and Jóhann Jóhannsson as his main influences. The release of his first solo album, Polarity, marks an exciting new chapter in the artist?s career.
