Alongside a rich and varied program, [aspects] is a valuable educational tool. Indeed, as part of the festival, our students have the opportunity to work on a repertoire that is sometimes little-known to them: the music of living composers. They will be performing works by Zad Moultaka, Alexandros Markeas, Farnaz Modarresifar, Gyorgy Kurtag, Naji Hakim and François Rabbath, alongside pieces by Maurice Ohana and Maurice Ravel, to name but a few. The students will benefit from work sessions in their presence, to perfect their playing and present their finished work to the public during the avant-scène (always in the presence of the composer). Educational works are also commissioned from the composers. These moments are precious and inspiring for our young musicians, and add a new dimension to their work.
