The aim of this double conference is to study the careers of the medical doctors trained at Caen?s Faculty of Medicine (1762-1781) from the point of view of their personal, academic and professional careers, with the help of medical school registration records, and to show how the University of Caen?s Faculty of Medicine was able to play a potentially important social role in its territory during this period.
