Bernard Mahé focuses on a strong, passionate theme: Brittany and the sea, which he likes to imagine and transform through his typical seascapes. We find the very special Breton atmosphere, conducive to escapism and daydreaming, with its little white houses, the sky and the sea in ever-changing shades of gray, blue, green?
Sylvy: "As my field of action is very eclectic, there will be mainly watercolours of nature, but also a little architecture. I work a lot with wet-on-wet watercolors, to convey the softness of blending colors, while contrasting them with sharper details. All my work will therefore be oriented towards the softness and lightness of watercolor, and the harmony of colors, mainly on subjects linked to nature, such as landscapes, flowers, birds... which will create a land/sea link with Bernard Mahé?s paintings."
