Bringing together works from the Frac Normandie collection and those of guest artists, the exhibition In the Mood... is based on the idea of a "procession" of works that breathe a certain presence into the stroll. In addition to the light-hearted presence that pervades part of the exhibition, marked by multiple sets of legs - a nod to the Dim "All of Marilyn?s" pantyhose advertising of the '70s - the glamorous yet disquieting atmospheres reveal a disenchanted vision of the body and its artifices.
The title track "In the Mood..." (sets the tone for this moving exhibition, with its 40s swing and diverse cinematic entries.
