From September 22 to December 22, 2023, at the Pôle de vie des quartiers Nord-Ouest, the Centre de Ressources: Archives et Documentation (CRADoc) is presenting an exhibition entitled "Caennais et Reconstruction: une mémoire à partager" ("Caennais and Reconstruction: a memory to share").
The aim is to present the written and iconographic heritage preserved by Caen's municipal and community archives. The public will be able to discover archive documents bearing witness to the daily lives of the people of Caen, the urgent need to rehouse them and rebuild the city on a long-term basis.
This retrospective is presented as part of the second edition of the Nouveaux Regards sur la Reconstruction event, and commemorates the 60th anniversary of the end of Reconstruction.
