A magical parade through the heart of Caen
On May 9, 2025, a spectacular show will illuminate the city along a 5-kilometer route from the Prairie to the Bassin Saint-Pierre. Conceived by the Caen-based company Le Ballon Vert, this spectacular parade will bring together artists, circus performers and musicians to retrace the history of Caen through monumental floats combining poetry and heritage.
An artistic and historical journey
This immersive staging will take the public on an adventure that is both dreamlike and historical, with artistic stops at emblematic sites such as the esplanade of the town hall and the port of Caen.
A collective, participatory work
Bringing together nearly 2,000 participants from all walks of life, this federative creation relies on the commitment of 80 local partners: cultural associations, schools, retirement homes and businesses. Young people, senior citizens and professionals on integration schemes will all contribute to bringing this collaborative work to life.
On May 9, 2025, street art will be celebrated through a staging involving over 1,000 artists and volunteers, promising the public an unforgettable experience, rich in emotion and wonder. An exceptional event that will leave its mark on Caen?s cultural history.
