Les Randonnées pour la Paix – Randonnée N°6 (21 km)

In the footsteps of the 6th Airborne - 21 km
Walk proposed by the Sports Loisirs Bénouville association.

To mark the 80th anniversary of the armistice that brought peace to Europe, Les Randonnées pour la Paix pays tribute not only to those who fought for our freedom, but also to all those who, in 2025, are still suffering from conflicts around the world.

Within the framework of Normandy Battlefields for Peace, hikes are organized with all proceeds going to Handicap International. By taking part, you contribute directly to the financing of essential actions: mine clearance, disarmament and support for victims of conflict.

Departure at 9:30 am from the German Battery at Merville-Franceville, a key World War II site. Pass historic sites such as the viewpoint in the hamlet of Amfreville, overlooking the Normandy countryside, then the Pegasus Bridge in Bénouville, symbol of the first Allied success on D-Day. The route continues through the Dan Biéville valley, and the Perrelles d?Épron, before arriving at the Caen Memorial Valley, a major war memorial site. Arrival is scheduled between 4.30pm and 5pm.

Come one, come all to share this moment of remembrance and solidarity!
