A century before Mozart and Louis XV, in 1763, Élisabeth Jacquet began her career as a virtuoso by playing for Louis XIV, when she was just 5 years old. Her thirst for innovation and modernity gave birth to a body of work that made her the most famous composer of the Ancien Régime. Her music resonates with the fables of her contemporary Jean de La Fontaine. Come and discover her music and that of her contemporaries, performed by an ensemble of recorders, oboe, bassoon, cello and viola da gamba, and accompanied by Virginie Lacroix as narrator.
