Rencontre/ Laurie Laufer

They tell a different story. They write about their freedom. They realize their dreams. Despite reticence and scorn, Madeleine Pelletier, Natalie Clifford Barney, Virginia Woolf, Monique Wittig and Wendy Delorme have made their own way. In "Les Héroïnes de la modernité" (La Découverte, published April 3, 2025), psychoanalyst Laurie Laufer shows how the inventiveness of these women can inspire psychoanalysis today, and enable us to reinvent the practice of freedom.
Hosted by François Bordes.
A bar and light refreshments will be available before and after the meetings. Each evening, the Eureka Street bookshop will be offering a selection of books for sale on site.
Don't forget it! A free shuttle bus runs to the city center after each event. Twisto is a partner of the Imec cultural season.
