1,000 years of Caen?s history through a new exhibition
Discover the "A Thousand Years of Caen" exhibition during a guided tour.
Led by exhibition curators Mathias Courtet and Noémie Boudet, you'll be able to take an inquisitive, well-documented look at the historical issues and the works in the exhibition.
The tour features treasures from the past: manuscripts, sculptures, photographs and films trace the development of Caen through the centuries. Among the highlights is the 1025 charter that mentions the town's name for the first time.
Rebuilt four times, Caen bears witness to a unique resilience where art, history and science meet. A rare selection of archives and objects tells the story of Caen?s journey from memory to imagination.
Guided tour of the exhibition every Tuesday from 2pm to 3pm, on April 8, April 15, April 22, April 29 and May 6.
Led by exhibition curators Mathias Courtet and/or Noémie Boudet.
Access limited to 20 people.
