Visit the Hérouville theater: backstage, stage, set-building workshop, costume workshop, stage, dressing rooms... presentation of the season's shows.
In 1982, a building program for the town center, including a town hall, auditorium, housing and shops, was approved by local residents. La Citadelle Douce, designed by architect Eugène Leseney, was completed in 1987. Michel Dubois, then director of the Comédie de Caen, a national drama center, was entrusted with the management and programming of the Théâtre d'Hérouville. The theater opened its doors on April 1, 1987. A few weeks later, it was inaugurated by François Mitterrand during his visit to the Citadelle douce. Today, Aurore Fattier is the theater's director.
