Here, we discover the completely chocolate universe of Alban Guilmet. Chocolates, macaroons, pastries, ice cream… We want to taste everything but this time our choice is macaroons. While Emannuelle falls for the Jasmin macaroon, Béatrice will choose the Mint-Chocolate flavor with a guaranteed « after-eight » effect ! Next time, we will try Madagascar chocolate candies.
Charlotte Corday chocolate factory
We stay in chocolates with this shop with an evocative name. It is also at the same address where Charlotte Corday lived that the chocolate factory was created. The large chocolate stall still makes us want to taste everything, we are definitely real gourmands ! Jerôme Boutel advises us to try his favorite : Abricotin, made with Normandy apricots fruit paste and a caramel-flavored white chocolate ganache…
Aux fromages de France
The essential address known for its local farm products, poultry and game at « Aux fromages de France » (The french cheeses) at Sylvie and Fabrice we stop there like at home to pick up our dish. This shop which is a former cheese factory, even has a maturing cellar and wine cellar to match the cheeses they offer. When we arrive we hear the oven ring… A minute later, Sylvie comes out with her homemade terrine and the smell fills the whole room in no time !
Les accords parfaits
Gourmet address in Caen, the delicatessen « Les Accords Parfaits » offers a range of Normand products. This is an opportunity for us to try rillettes from Coutainville, caramels from Isigny, tripe à la mode from Caen or even the famous Teurgoule. In addition to being greedy, we are very curious… So when Florent offers us to taste Pommeau de Normandie, it’s impossible to say no to him !
