D-DAY AND THE BATTLE OF NORMANDY For the first time, the Battle of Normandy
– an essential episode in the liberation of Western Europe

The Caen Memorial forms part of the Route of Canadian Remembrance, paying tribute to the 500,000 Canadian soldiers who fought to bring freedom to the French people on two occasions in the 20th century.
