Normandy is celebrating the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings with a programme of activities, commemorations and events. Take part in this duty of remembrance and honour the memory of the soldiers who landed on the beaches in June 1944.

In 2024, join us for the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of the D-Day!

The museums and sites of the D-Day landing beaches and the Second World War have joined forces with the region’s tourist offices to prepare a rich and varied programme of events.

You will find guided tours, fireworks, walks in the footsteps of the Allies and parachute drops. Also on your checklist are historical re-enactments, period vehicle parades, exhibitions and concerts.

Normandy is transformed, the houses are decorated with French, British, American and Canadian flags. There is a special atmosphere not to be missed during the months of May and June. The week celebrating the 6th of June 1944 is obviously the highlight of the year. So come and join us to keep the memory alive and our duty to remember !
